One of the city’s most popular events, the White Plains Outdoor Arts Festival, takes place this weekend in Tibbits Park.
For the 51st year, visitors can see and purchase unique artwork, jewelry, handcrafts and other items, enjoy an exhibition of student art, and take a chance on raffle items donated by vendors. The juried art festival features dozens of artists from throughout the region. Kids can also participate in a children’s art workshop.
There will be plenty of food stands too.
The annual festival has become the largest source of scholarships for White Plains High School seniors planning to pursue their arts education in college.
The festival is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tibbits Park is located on North Broadway near the Main Street intersection. Visit www.wpoaf.org for more information.
