Drivers are advised that beginning Monday, March 4, the state Department of Transportation will be conducting various lane closures for bridge demolition in both directions of the Sprain Brook Parkway between State Route 100B (Dobbs Ferry Road) and State Route 100C (Grasslands Road).
Weather permitting, the closures are expected to take place until March 9th. Northbound closures are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m., and 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. On the southbound side, closures are planned from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., and 9:30 am to 3 p.m.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and to pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers.
Travelers are also reminded that fines double for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
