Aubrey Lynch II, a dancer, choreographer and producer who has appeared on Broadway and around the world, will take to the stage in White Plains on Jan. 18 as the honoree of the 8th annual Friends of the White Plains Youth Bureau’s Dance Benefit, “Dance IS Life.”
Lynch, who studied at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, was an original cast member of the Broadway production of The Lion King and has appeared in numerous films, music videos and stage productions.
In addition to his solo performance, Lynch will be honoured for his body of work by Dancers from throughout the New York Metropolitan area including the O’Rourke Irish Dancers, the Steffi Nossen School of Dance, the Keene Dance Theatre and the Andrea Elam Dancers.
Proceeds from the benefit will support more than 50 programs the Youth Bureauoffers for 5- to 24-year-olds.
The program is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the White Plains Performing Arts Center, 11 City Place.
