For the second straight year, White Plains will host a preview of the acclaimed Harlem Fine Arts Show from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 6) in the lobby of the Reckson Building, 360 Hamilton Ave.
Considered the premier showcase of contemporary art celebrating the African Diaspora, the show supports numerous charities and showcases the work of hundreds of artists.
This year the show will honor Jerry Pinckney, an African American illustrator of children’s books who has received numerous awards during his 50 year career.
The White Plains preview is presented by the White Plains Youth Bureau and the Westchester Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased in person at the Youth Bureau, 11 Amherst Place, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. weekdays and from noon to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
