White Plains has just received word that Santa Claus has once again set up a special mailbox on the front steps of City Hall and is advising local children that letters sent to him there will most likely be answered faster than those sent to the North Pole.

City officials say they’re honored that Santa has chosen White Plains for this very important purpose and think that it’s because he knows that kids here have been especially good this year.

Children may drop their letters in the mailbox any time between now and Thursday, December 20, 2012. White Plains City Hall is located at 255 Main Street. Personalized Santa letters will be mailed to each child.
