The Hindu Education Foundation and the Westchester Chapter of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh conducted a Teacher Appreciation Day or Guru Vandana to honor local teachers on May 19.
Westchester County Board of Legislators Chairman Ken Jenkins was chief guest at the event that drew nine invited teachers from the county. The program was held at the White Plains YMCA.
