Barnes & Noble will close its Greenburgh store at the end of this month, according to an official with the company.
Carolyn Brown, a spokeswoman for the bookseller, said via e-mail that the store at the Crossroads shopping center on Tarrytown Rd. is closing because the company could not work out a lease extension with the property owner. She said the store’s lease is up next month.
The short e-mail statement did not say if the store was relocating to another location and there was no other mention of the company’s plans.
Barnes & Noble has stores in the City Center in White Plains and on Central Park Ave. in Yonkers.
