The deadline to file as a school board candidate in most Lower Hudson Valley districts was 5 p.m. today (candidates in White Plains and other city districts have until April 25).
Here are the candidates for school board seats in central Westchester (incumbents are identified with an asterisk (*). Some districts may not be listed, or information could be updated, if clerks provided incomplete information or they could not be reached this evening. Greenburgh: Three open seats, Eric Bitterman, Charles Bronz*, Sonja Brown, Cora Carey*, Jacqueline Hoeger, William Ng, Terry Williams*, board president
Ardsley: One open seat, Patricia Bova*
Dobbs Ferry: Two seats, Lynne Black*, board president, Jonathan Greengrass. Trustee Anna Sterne is not seeking re-election.
Mount Pleasant: Three open seats, Theresa Fowler*, James Grieco*, Vincent D’Ambroso*, Thomas McCabe.
Tarrytown: Three open seats, Joseph Lillis*, Mimi Godwin*, Craig Laub*.
Irvington: Two open seats, John Dawson*, board president, Robyne Camp*, Robyn Kerner, Maria Kashkin, Della Lenz.
Elmsford: Two open seats, Michael Colasuonno, a former trustee, and Felice Harris. The district clerk could not be reached after 5 p.m. so it is unknown if other candidates filed by the deadline.
Hastings: Three open seats, Eileen Baecher*, board president, Donna Laing*, Lindsey Hicks*.
The district clerks in Pocantico Hills and Valhalla could not be reached after 5 p.m.
UPDATE (4/17): No other candidates filed in Elmsford.
Valhalla: Three open seats. *William Rosenberg, board president, running for Brian Macken’s seat, James Adams, running for Brian Macken’s seat, Ronald Cavallo, running for William Rosenberg’s seat, Robert Ierace, running for William McGuinn’s seat. Trustees Brian Macken and William McGuinn are not seeking re-election.
Pocantico Hills: One seat. *David Wilens, vice president.
