The Westchester Neuroscience Research Foundation (WNRF), which raises money to help brain cancer and traumatic head injury research, will hold a fundraiser Monday, May 23, 2011 at the Leewood Golf Club in Eastchester. The White Plains-based foundation was founded by neurosurgeon Dr. John M. Abrahams in 2009; Abrahams and Dr. Joseph Comizio, both of Scarsdale, will co-chair the event.
The day’s activities begin at 10:30 am (registration), brunch from 11 am to noon, and a “Shotgun Start” (scramble) at 12:15 pm. Throughout the day there will be golf, putting contests, a lavish cocktail reception and auction. All sponsorships will benefit the funding for WNRF’s research projects. Last year’s golf event raised over $70,000.00.
