Tracy Kay, executive director of the proposed Westchester Children’s Museum, and other museum officials discussed the future of their ambitious endeavor in an Editorial Spotlight interview Wednesday on LoHud.com.
The nonprofit group’s backers propose locating the museum in the former bathhouses at Playland in Rye. A long-contemplated plan to lease the sprawling space, which is under renovation, has been put on hold by Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, who recently announced that he will seek proposals to make Playland, a longtime money loser for the county, profitable.
