Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino recently announced that he will seek proposals to make Playland, a longtime money-loser for the county, profitable. He also said that a plan to locate the Westchester Children’s Museum in the Playland’s former bathhouses was on hold. The museum had made an agreement with former County Executive Andrew Spano to lease the space for $1 a year after the county completed an $8.8 million restoration of the structure.
Executive director Tracy Kay and other Children’s Museum officials will join the Editorial Board at 2 p.m. today for an Editorial Spotlight to discuss their project’s future.
