Winter’s first snow storm blankets the Lower Hudson region
Rebecca Walker, 14, and Sara Katz, 13, of White Plains, wipe out as they sled down a hill at White Plains High School this morning after the first snow storm of the season.

The snow, which started Saturday evening, blanketed the lower Hudson region with close to a foot of snow in some areas, which was less than the 17-inches that were originally forecasted. Check back at Lohud.com throughout the day for complete storm coverage and look for the story in tomorrow’s edition of The Journal News. For a gallery of online photos from the storm, click here.
