Children were treated to a whole afternoon of story time at the Barnes & Noble bookstore in White Plains today.

The story time was part of an event put on by Pace University’s Center for Literacy and Enrichment, which was holding a fundraiser at the bookstore to raise money for the center’s programs aimed at helping kids with their reading skills. Volunteers from the center, along with city officials and members of the White Plains board of education also took turns reading to kids. Santa Claus also paid a visit to kids at the store as part of the holiday fundraising event. Look for Aman Ali’s story in tomorrow’s edition of the The Journal News.
