A ripple in time tomorrow will transport Ardsley Middle School students back to the 17th century. Don’t worry, they will only be there for a day.
The school’s faculty and students will all take part in a Colonial Day program. Participants will wear colonial-style clothing (knee-high pants, long socks, frilly shirts, dark vests and three-cornered hats for boys; bonnets, long skirts and aprons, shawls, and white blouses for girls). They will spend the day learning about colonial-era America and taking part in various indoor and outdoor activities, including cider pressing, square dancing, butter churning, candle and soap making, and learning about military life and medicine.
Parents are welcome to take part in the day’s activities (colonial dress is optional). The rain date is Thursday. For more information, click here and scroll down.
