At long last, Ebersole Ice Rink in White Plains opens Thusday, with the first public skate scheduled for 10 a.m. The venerable outdoor rink located in Delfino Park off of Lake Street was originally supposed to open earlier this month.
Arne Abramowitz, the city’s recreation and parks commissioner said the opening was delayed in part because of unusually warm weather and because of a problem with the refrigeration system. The system has been repaired and the weather has cooled off, so lace up those skates and hit the ice.
